FIREARM SAFETY & SHOOTING CLASS
Safety. Accuracy. Speed. Proficiency.

New students first learn the Four Cardinal Rules of Firearms Safety & how to determine if a firearm is loaded, then unload it. We cover the basic components of your firearm, the functions they perform, & how the whole system works together. Differences in ammunition types as well as safe storage & transporting practices are also explained.

We train all new pistol shooters using a modified Isosceles Stance with the Lea-nos Grip Technique developed by Rob Leatham & Brian Enos. New shooters are carefully guided step-by-step from the soles of their shoes to the eyes & fingertips. We will study the shooting position, practice with an unloaded pistol, & start shooting one bullet at a time whenever you're comfortable

New shooters will learn front-sight focus & students who demonstrate advanced abilities will learn target-focused shooting.

Fundamentals of shooting include:

-
Aiming
-
Breath Control
-
Hold Control
-
Trigger Control
-
Follow-Thru
ADVANCED PISTOL & RIFLE SKILLS TRAINING
Target-focused shooting with movement on multiple targets, timed reloads, & intensity training. Once a shooter demonstrates consistent safety & accuracy, it is time to push the limits & strive towards a higher level of proficiency.

Each range session will push you faster & harder to identify points of failure, which we will transform into areas of growth. Some skills covered include drawing from a holster, driving the gun, tracking the sight, weak hand shooting, & speed reloading. Pistol ready positions covered include temple index, high ready, compressed, low ready, & Sul. Some timed drills include double taps, failure-to-stop, bill drill, zipper drill, the accelerator, & more. Advanced students also receive homework to keep skills fresh.
**This class is NOT a self-defense class, nor is it an appropriate substitute for a proper self-defense class.

PISTOL MAINTENANCE CLASS
No matter how often you're shooting, every firearm needs to be cleaned & checked for proper functions on a regular basis. Learn how to safely disassemble, clean, & lubricate your pistol for protection against wear & environmental factors.

New shooters learn the basics of field-stripping & maintaining components such as the barrel, slide, & frame. Advanced shooters learn how to completely disassemble their pistol for a deep cleaning. All shooters will learn how to use products including CLP, Slip 2000, Eezox, TW25, Ultima Lube II, & compressed air to enhance functionality & prolong the service life of their firearm.

**NOTE: New pistols should be cleaned & lubricated prior to use
RIFLE ZEROING SESSION
Once an optic is properly mounted on your rifle, it is necessary to sight in or "set the zero". A zeroed rifle provides the opportunity for an extremely rewarding experience because the bullets will predictably land where the shooter aims the reticle.
The first step in this process involve firing three shots at a designated distance to create a group. From there, subtle calibration changes are made to the optics windage & elevation settings until the firearm consistently connects with the intended target.

Requirements:
A quality rifle in excellent condition
A quality optic in excellent condition
Proper optics mounting (level with good eye relief)
High-quality ammunition (no mixed manufactures)
Fair weather (low or no wind, little or no precipitation)
REMOTE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
In addition to teaching in-person at the range, we offer lessons online via the platform of your choice (Zoom, Skype, etc.). This is a perfect option if you can't make it to our location or you need to conserve ammunition while feeding your passion.

Remote learning focuses on practice methods that address fundamentals of pistol handling thru "dry fire" & target transitioning. Email us to schedule a one-on-one online lesson & you'll be amazed at how much you can learn.
